Aquafina Major League Baseball Pitch, Hit & Run Competition

Del Mar Little League hosts a local Pitch, Hit & Run competition each year.
The 2011 Aquafina Major League Baseball Pitch, Hit & Run Competition was held Sunday, May 1st at Ashley Falls Park

The Aquafina Pitch, Hit & Run Competition is the Official Youth Skills Competition of Major League Baseball that allows players to showcase their pitching, hitting, and running skills and the chance to advance through four levels of competition, including Team Championship events at all 30 Major League ballparks and the National Finals at the MLB All-Star Game. Competitors were divided into four age divisions: 7/8, 9/10, 11/12, 13/14 based on the players age as of July 17, 2011.

The Overall Champion and all of the Skills Champions in each age bracket advance to the San Diego Sectional competition as the DMLL representatives.

San Diego Sectional Pitch Hit & Run Competition Results

Congratulation to the following DMLL representatives:

9/10 Division: Matthew Caprice was the Overall Sectional Champion!!
11/12 Division: Michael Brown finished 3rd overall in this age group
13/14 Division: Ronan Reeves finished 3rd overall in this age group
Matthew Caprice will advanced from the Sectional PH&R Competition
and be competing at the "Team Championship" at Petco Park on June 4th.
